At the heart of DeepFix Clinic is Layla, a practitioner with 20 years of clinical remedial massage experience whose journey from animation studios to clinical treatment rooms has shaped a uniquely human approach to care. As the founder and lead therapist, she brings together clinical precision and deep compassion, offering a treatment experience that goes far beyond the expected.

Originally from South Korea, Layla holds a degree in Human Physical Sciences and completed advanced training in Clinical Wellness Therapy, including lymphatic drainage techniques. Her career in health began in 2006 in a hospital rehabilitation unit, where she worked closely with post-surgical and post-cancer patients during critical stages of recovery. This early experience shaped her holistic view of healing — one that cares for both body and mind.

After moving to Australia, Layla began practising remedial massage in a medical spa before going on to build a broad base of clinical experience in Allied Health Centres, collaborating with chiropractors and physiotherapists. Her work has always been marked by a balance of hands-on expertise and a genuine understanding of each individual client. It’s no surprise her appointment book remains consistently full — a testament to the trust she has built through years of thoughtful, effective care.

What sets Layla apart is her ability to see the whole person — not just the pain. She approaches treatment with an awareness of the emotional toll that physical problems can bring — including frustration, isolation, and anxiety. Her sessions offer not only physical relief but a safe and supportive space for personal healing. Witnessing her clients reclaim their bodies and lives is what she finds most rewarding in her work.

Layla didn’t design DeepFix Clinic to be just another massage shop. Instead, she created a space dedicated entirely to remedial massage as a specialised therapeutic discipline. Every treatment is guided by clear communication, in-depth assessment, and a commitment to real, measurable results. The model requires intense focus and emotional investment — and that’s exactly what makes it so effective and unique.

Interestingly, before entering the health profession, Layla spent over 14 years as a key animator with Film Roman, working on the animation team behind The Simpsons. Through that career, she developed a deep understanding of anatomy, figure drawing, and movement, which now directly informs her clinical work. Whether in art or therapy, understanding how the human body moves has always been central to her work.

Outside the clinic, Layla enjoys swimming, inline skating, and immersing herself in music across a range of genres. Her energy, creativity, and heartfelt commitment make DeepFix Clinic more than just a treatment space — it’s a place of real transformation and care.

With over 25 years of experience in remedial massage, Paul combines an exceptional understanding of the body with an intuitive approach to treatment. He specialises in techniques that not only relieve pain but also promote muscular function recovery and overall body balance. Whether it’s trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or posture correction, Paul customises every session to meet the unique needs of each client, delivering effective, lasting results.

  Before moving to Australia, Paul built a successful career in Indonesia, where he earned degrees in health sciences, arts, and education. His extensive background includes a broad range of experience across multiple sports disciplines, working with various sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. This has equipped him with the insight and versatility to address complex physical issues using a holistic approach.

  Since relocating to Hervey Bay two years ago, Paul has quickly become a trusted figure in the local community. His clients appreciate his thorough consultations, where he takes time to understand their concerns and tailor a treatment plan that suits their needs. This personalised care has earned him an impressive 92% rebooking rate, reflecting the positive impact he has on their health and wellbeing.

  What sets Paul apart is not only his technical expertise but also his warm, client-focused approach.   Outside of his therapeutic work, Paul is also a talented all variety of fine arts and experienced art teacher, with a deep appreciation for creativity and self-expression. He enjoys spending his time fishing, practising yoga, and meditating, maintaining a balanced lifestyle that supports his work and personal wellbeing.
